Women Lawyers On Guard DRAFT for Sunday night

With growing concern surrounding the integrity of the Trump administration, two organizations have been formed by politically active women lawyers who seek to preserve democratic principles. The organization described itself as “A network of lawyers and other professionals committed to preserving, protecting, and defending democratic values.  Not “just” equality and justice, but also opportunity for all.”  The website notes that many of the lawyers involved in the organization have not been previously politically active. But the lawyers cannot stand by and watch the country ” lose its moral and democratic compass.”
