Women’s Global March, January 19-20, 2019

If, like many of us, 2019 has snuck up on you, it’s not too late to mark your calendars for the Global Women’s March, Jan. 19-20, 2019.

Like the first Global Women’s March in 2017, this one will take place through large gatherings in Washington, D.C. and other key metropolitan areas, and through local marches held around the globe.  For more information about the Washington, D.C. march and sister marches, click here.

Why must women and allies march again in 2019?  Because, despite some economic and electoral gains, women’s voices too often remain unheard.  If you thought that those days were in the past, just recall the treatment of Dr. Christine Ford in the hearings on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, and on Judge Kavanaugh’s own testimony and interactions with female Senators.

Marching once again, in increasing numbers, will send the message that women are not going to accept this status quo – and that we will both resist and persist!
